Two people, three languages, and an unreasonable obsession with what Japan brews
Anton directs every STAQAN film. He has been producing TV commercials and content at major ad agencies in Japan since 2016 - and he brings that production value and the discipline to shoots that smaller business usually don't have access to. His interviews don't feel like interviews. Short questions, no scripts, a drink on the table - people forget the cameras and start telling the truth.
Tima founded STAQAN and runs everything around the camera: story development, relationships with makers, shoot logistics, and the pipeline that ships every film in Japanese, English, and Russian. On set you'll find him behind the second camera; the rest of the year, wherever something interesting is fermenting. Based in Shibuya.
That's the whole team. Two people means the person you talk to is the person who shows up, shoots, cuts, and delivers. When a production needs more hands, we bring in trusted crew we've worked with before.
Tell us what you're brewing - we'll bring the cameras.
